What's Included in a Full Groom
Every full grooming session at Soggy Doggie includes a complete spa experience for your dog:
- Bath — Shampooing with premium, pet-safe products matched to your dog’s coat type, followed by conditioning and a thorough towel and blow dry.
- Haircut and trim — Breed-specific styling or owner-requested cuts, with precision trimming around the face, paws, and tail.
- Brush and comb-out — Detangling, mat removal, and brushing tailored to your dog’s coat (long-haired, short-haired, double-coated — we’ve seen it all).
- Ear cleaning — Gentle cleaning of the outer ear area, with a check for signs of infection or irritation.
- Nail trimming — Clipping or filing to an appropriate length, including dewclaw check.
- Sanitary trim and gland expressing — Trimming around the sanitary area for hygiene, plus anal gland expression as needed.
- Finishing touches — A spritz of cologne and a bandana to send your dog home looking (and smelling) their absolute best.
Add-On Services
While your dog is already here, we can take care of a few extras:
- Flea and tick treatment — By request, for dogs dealing with pests or as a preventive step.
- Medicated baths — For dogs with specific skin conditions. If your vet has prescribed a special shampoo, we’re happy to use it.
- De-shedding treatment — Specialized shampoo and conditioner that reduces excessive shedding and promotes a healthy coat.
- Skin and coat conditioning — Deep conditioning treatments for dry, itchy, or irritated skin.
- Brush and bath special — A full bath experience without the haircut — perfect for breeds that don’t need regular trimming.
- Paw trims — Cleaning up the hair around and between the paw pads.
- Teeth brushing — A quick freshening up for your dog’s dental hygiene.
Every Dog Is Different
There are over 15 coat type categories among dog breeds — some naturally evolved, some designed by humans — and each one requires different care, products, and techniques. That’s why we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether your dog has a thick double coat, a curly poodle cut, or a smooth short-haired style, our groomers tailor every session to the specific needs of your dog’s breed and coat condition. We’ll adjust our approach based on what your dog actually needs — not just what’s on a menu.
